We added an optional feature to the imp called “Urgent Calls.” Spammers and scammers don’t typically call more than once: If they don’t reach you the first time, they move on to the next number. Real people who need to reach you often do call more than once.
Urgent calls are a feature for real people who may not be on your Greenlist, but who really want to reach you. The first time a Greylist caller dials you, the imp will take a message. The subsequent calls from that same person in under a certain amount of time will result in the call being passed through to your landline phone, and the phone will ring.
These settings can be found by opening the imp app and going to the “Devices” page. Tap “Greenlist Rules” next.
A pop-up will open where you can adjust all your Greenlist Rules. Urgent calls are at the bottom of the list.
Make sure the box is checked to enable Urgent Calls. You can adjust the number of calls needed from the caller and the amount of time they have to make those calls by tapping the numbers associated with your preferences. If you wish to disable urgent calls, make sure to uncheck the box instead.
By default with Urgent calls active, 2 calls in 2 minutes from the same caller will result in your home phone ringing.
