The imp box remembers your contacts by creating a unique piece of information to reference specific to that download. If you have an active, onboarded imp account, but you have a new phone or tablet that you would like to register with the imp box, you will have to take an extra step to ensure that the imp box communicates smoothly with your new device.
- Please note: If you are an account holder with a phone and a tablet, and you want both apps to function at the same time, you will need to invite the second device as a second user with a separate email. Please click here to read how to add another user.
Go ahead and download the imp app from the app or play store and then open the app.
Enter your email on the first screen, and then select "Set up new phone as my primary mobile device" from the options given.
On the next screen, you'll confirm that you are trying to make this my primary mobile device. You will then be informed of how this action occurs in regards to your contacts: "In this next step, contacts from the old phone will be removed and contacts from this phone will be added. Green, grey, and redlist assignments that aren't based on the contacts will remain." This needs to occur, or else contacts will appear duplicate. Select "Got it" to continue.
